Neal Mohan took the stage at Google Playa Vista, the iconic Spruce Goose Hangar in Los Angeles, to announce an exciting update to the YouTube Partner Program, allowing Shorts creators to monetise their content after reaching 1,000 subscribers and 10 million Shorts views within 90 days. This milestone empowered creators — across short-form and long-form content — to earn revenue regardless of format. The Google division showcased these new initiatives during the Made on YouTube event, a global broadcast that merged live audience engagement with real-time digital streaming.
